I'm so excited. We have blue birds living near my house. Not blue jays, actual blue birds. I was ecstatic. I was dancing around my living room getting ready to leave for class yesterday afternoon and I glanced out the sliding glass door that leads to our backyard and there he was - sitting on our feeder, preening himself like he owned the place. I grabbed my camera but I was too slow. He had already flown into a nearby tree so all the pictures I snapped on him are really dark. Needless to say, I am soooo excited. Oh! Another bird that I've never seen before has taken up temporary residence in my yard. White-throated sparrows, in the dozens are feeding around the clock. I got some great shots of them though. I will be keeping my eyes peeled for more blue bird sightings and try to get a goo shot!
